I retired in 2005, after 34+ years as a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service, most of it in Topeka, KS. In retirement, I keep as busy as I want with volunteer/service club work, home/yard duties, storm chasing, traveling, web surfing, and some days, not doing a darn thing. Life is good!! Best Wishes GHS class of 1968 on our 45th reunion!

August 1.2018  I finally retired from Preschool after 20+ years. My knees just are not what they use to be. I married a younger man so he is still working. My daughter, Lora, is living in Washington D.C. I don't get to see her as much as I would like but Jim and I go out occassionally and she comes home when she can.  William opened his own jewlery store in Sleepy Eye, MN. It is a nice little town about 90 miles away, not a bad drive.  Now that  I am a grandma we try to get down when we can.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our 50th.

From 2013:
My daughter, Lora, is 26 and living in Arlington,VA., which will be our next trip.  We have been following her around the world.  First to South Korea, and then to Austria which included  visits to Croatia and Hungary. Except for Austria we would not have dreamed of getting to those countries 45 yrs ago.  All were very interestiong and well worth the long flights.

My son William, 22, is a professional jeweler working in Minnetonka,MN. No grandkids as neither is married yet, although William is planning a June 2014 wedding.

Reirement? What is that?  MY husband says I can't retire until he does which will be a few more years, or he will tell you I have always been retired. Being a Preschool teacher has been a partime job ever since I started 20 years ago. 

I am very thankful to be attending this reunion as I was told I had brain cancer in 1999. 

Look forward to seeing all those attending.

Retired from Deere 2005.  Moved to sun city Arizona, then verrado Arizona, then one year ago left the Arizona heat from hell and moved to California.  Loving retirement and life and blessed soooo much.  Also love reconnecting with friends on Facebook.  Sorry to miss this reunion but if still alive will come to 50th.  We already had tickets for visit out east.

Spending time between Miami Beach (April), Santa Fe (June/July), and Peoria.   My second book, Directions Home, came out in Sept. (available at GoldQuoin Press) so am doing a few readings.

I now have five grandsons and one ganddaughter. Enjoy each and every one of them. They range from 2 to 11 years old. Still work part-time. I enjoy my job but take off when I want to. Have started doing yoga this past year. Been married for 48 years to my husband Ron. It's been great catching up with several of you on facebook. Looking forward to seeing all of you at our 50th reunion. Hard to believe it's been that long.   submitted 8/1/18

I work at KJWW Engineering Consultants as Accounts Payable for offices in Rock Island, Des Moines, Madison, Chicago, Naperville and St. Louis. My husband, Jim, is co-owner of Pauper's Den in Silvis, Assessor in Hampton and 3rd ward alderman in Silvis. we have 2-6 year old granddaughters and 2-3 year old grandsons. we love to travel and have been to England, Ireland, France and Australia.
